     Municipal Court

If you have been charged with an offense which is within the jurisdiction of the City of Richmond Municipal Court, you must make an appearance in person or by mail within 10 working days after the date on your citation. A telephone call does not constitute an appearance and will not prevent issuance of a warrant. The court does have a telephone number available for information only. (281) 342-0578

Police officers cannot answer questions about fine amounts or court procedures. Do not call the Police Department; this matter is now under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Court.

The Municipal Court is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, except on holidays. We are located at 600 Morton in Richmond. If you want to take care of a citation, you can do so in person, by mail or with an attorney. If you wish to discuss the options available for satisfying the citation or if you want an extension in the payment of a fine, you need to appear in court between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM to speak with a judge.
