Hiring Practices and Procedures
The City of Richmond accepts applications only for positions that are available at the current time. The City retains applications for a two year period. After that time the applications are destroyed. If a job applicant wants to reapply for a job within that two year period, he/she must contact the Human Resource Department. The City of Richmond posts all jobs on the bulletin board located at City Hall, 402 Morton Street. The City will attempt to post all jobs on this web site in a timely manner. The City strives to promote from within. Current City employees will be considered first for all open positions. The City reserves the right to advertise vacant position internally prior to posting positions publicly. If you are applying for an open position, fill out the basic application and any insert that may be applicable. Applications may be obtained at City Hall, 402 Morton, Richmond, Texas 77469. They may also be downloaded using the links below. Completed applications may be dropped off or mailed to City Hall at the above address.
