Residential Recycling
Reduce, reuse and recycle are important reminders in today's world. Recycling provides an opportunity to reduce the amount of waste going to our landfills, save energy and conserve natural resources. Never, never put anything into a storm drain, no exceptions.
Upon Request, each household is provided one blue recycle bin. Newspapers, magazines, catalogs printed on glossy per, junk mail, white paper, mixed paper and envelopes can be placed in your blue recycle bin. Clear and cloudy plastic soft drink bottles and milk jugs and any plastic container with a #1 or #2 on it are acceptable as well as aluminum and tin cans. Unacceptable items include telephone books, plastic wrap or other types of plastic bottles, foil, pie tins, siding, aerosol cans of any type or scrap metal. Always look for the recycling symbol on the bottom of the product.
