Mission Statement
The mission of the Street Department is to maintain and improve City streets, bridges, storm sewers, and right-of-ways in an effective and cost effective manner; Repair any known deficiencies in a timely manner, and to provide support and assistance during and after natural and man made disasters
About the department
The Street and Drainage Department is responsible for maintaining the City's bridges, streets and alleys, drainage ditches and storm sewer inlets, tree trimming and mowing on public rights-of-way, maintaining street and traffic signage, and street striping.
The Streets & Drainage Department regularly inspects streets, alleys, and drainage ditches for any required maintenance and schedules repairs as weather permits. This department also relies upon input from our community on specific areas that need attention.
